A Look at Chemists and Machine Learning

A Look at Chemists and Machine LearningMany universities and colleges use machine learning and other mathematical modeling techniques to enhance chemistry education. Chemists have many tasks to perform, from the physical creation of chemical compounds to the analysis of data. Learning about machine learning and the theories behind it can help chemists implement their theories into their work. While the most basic knowledge of this science is knowledge of elementary mechanics, there are many other ideas in chemistry that can be applied using machine learning and mathematical equations. The biggest advantage of using a machine to answer questions is that it can provide answers that are more precise than any human being. It can also be used to construct structures that are just as complex as the ones created by man. This technology is becoming an increasingly popular tool in teaching and research. One of the biggest hurdles that chemists face when learning chemistry is remembering what th ey have learned. Fortunately, computer applications for statistics and information management make it easy to track information and add it to a database. Scientists can access information from the computer in an efficient way. These applications can be very useful for students who need additional support when trying to understand and apply their work.By comparing and contrasting the theories and processes of one person with another, chemists can learn how to integrate information, plan experiments, and more. Machine learning algorithms allow the patterns and relationships in a large set of data to be interpreted quickly. The algorithm can also be programmed in such a way that it can identify clusters of data and allow its processes to predict patterns. Chemists who have used these applications will know what I am talking about. The use of machine learning has advanced tremendously since the first applications were designed. There are many companies now that use machine learning and s tatistical analysis to solve complex problems. There are even databases available that contain information on billions of users worldwide. By combining data from these databases, scientists can get a better understanding of the patterns that can be used to build models and predict new data.Chemists also need to do a lot of analysis. They need to create reports and disseminate information about their findings. Some universities are using this technology as part of their undergraduate chemistry courses, and many chemists are realizing the importance of the technology and incorporating it into their everyday work. It is not just the freshmen anymore who are looking to gain a deeper understanding of chemistry through this technology.Students will benefit from using these software applications when taking online courses. If a professor needs to collect data, the professor can use the application to collect it, and then offer analysis of the information. Students can expect more advanced analysis, even though they are learning the basics.Companies that have a stake in the future of the technology are making substantial investments to enable the public to benefit from machine learning. The knowledge that machine learning can advance our knowledge in the study of chemistry is becoming easier to find. The technology is being used in the field, so it is easily accessible to the general public. The time is right for more people to gain a deeper understanding of chemistry through this powerful technology.

Can You Get 50 Dollars to Tutor Your Child?

Can You Get 50 Dollars to Tutor Your Child? The cost of getting someone to tutor your child at home for 50 dollars is so unbelievably low. Some of the high school kids I tutor would have a hard time paying an adult to do this work. In fact, sometimes the fee is more than their tuition! But it's all worth it to save your kid from life threatening situations. In order to succeed in life, you need to be successful academically. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to get through college. The last thing you want to do is lose out on any scholarships you may be able to get just because you had no one to assist you with your classes.Tutoring will give you the same benefits as working with an instructor and some of the tuition will go towards textbooks and other expenses. The one drawback is that they are cheaper than private schools. Unless your child is very poor or some other problem is holding them back, they may qualify for scholarships. But if they have personal or family income r estrictions, they could apply for free tutoring. When looking for tutors, it is best to go online and find out what sort of people are going for it. This will help you determine if there are any scams. Also, find out if the company is a registered company. If they are, they will be honest about their fees. You don't want to be scammed. There are so many people who have made a great deal of money on the Internet, but not everything they sell is a scam. The vast majority of them are honest and legitimate. Some online tutoring services are only needed for a few minutes each week. Some just need to be filled in and forgotten. If you're worried about going out and finding someone to tutor your child, make sure you can get in contact with your child. If you can't, just wait until they're older. One thing to look for is the number of honest online tutors. If the number isn't high, it's probably because they are not willing to take more work. If you are sure that they are legit, ask for testim onials and references.People will do whatever they have to do to make some extra money and some will be honest and others will be dishonest. Make sure you read everything about the company before signing anything and get all the information before agreeing to work with them.

Economics Theory or Science

Economics Theory or Science Economics: The Polarising Science ChaptersIs Economics A Science? Is Economics A Social Science?Understanding Economic ScienceIt’s been heavily debated whether or not economics can actually be considered a science. Although this argument has been around for a long time, tensions appeared to reach their peak in 2013 when three economists were awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics.Although that news does not sound particularly polarising, the issue many had with the award was the fact that  two of the economists in receipt of that award  seemed to have views that directly contradicted each other:Robert Shiller; andEugene FamaGiven that the aim of a science such as physics or chemistry is often considered to be the search for a single principle or truth, it appeared that such rules did not apply to the realm of economics and that one economist could freely disagree with another. In the five years since that particular Nobel Prize, has this debate been settled? Sadly, the short answer is no. Although arguments are rife on both sides, the jury appears to be out as to whether economics should be classed as a science, a social science, or whether it is no science at all.We look below at the fundamental issues that determine why economics is so difficult to consider as a science. What’s more, we also outline why these arguments should not fundamentally change how we look at economics as a subject, as it still remains a crucial field that can help us to better understand why it is that we act the way we do.the methodology an economist uses to reach a conclusion; andhow an economist applies economic analysis  when they examine their data.Closely tied in with objectivity is the fact that many economists’ ideas, models, and approaches can be heavily shaped by their political beliefs, or by the political administration of the time and their approach to the economy and current economic problems.Given this inherent bias, perhaps even uncertainty,  within economic models and systems, some argue that economi cs cannot, and will not ever be, a science in the truest sense. It can be hard to remain neutral when considering the realm of economic science. (Source: Public Domain, House, Wikimedia Commons)Limitations of experimentsAnother argument levied against economics being classed as a natural science is the fact that, although physicists, biologists, and the like can set up controlled experiments to test a hypothesis, which produces concrete results from which a conclusion can be drawn, the same cannot be said of economics experiments. At its core, economics is the study of human behaviour, and how that impacts the economy. Human behaviour is not as concrete as the behaviour or properties of, say, an atom, and the fact is that human behaviour can be unpredictable, as individuals can change their minds in a dynamic way at a moment’s notice.Due to this, economic experiments are difficult, if not impossible, to carry out in a controlled environment, and almost certainly cannot produce a con clusion that applies a rule across human behaviour and decision-making. As such, economic studies produce a “best guess” result that may give an indication of how individuals, or an economy, will perform under a certain set of circumstances. However, that’s not to say that economics experiments are not without their worth, or that any numerical element to an economic theory is simply for show. There are many economists today whose research on economic issues uses a combination of mathematics and statistics to help understand the inner workings of economics. This field is known as econometrics, and it can often feature as part of an economics degree at university, or in an economics position post-graduation.Economic science is not necessarily the same as natural science. (Source: CC0 1.0, OpenClipart-Vectors, Pixabay)Is Economics A Social Science? As noted above, many people would be more likely to argue that economics, if it is a science at all, fits more within the social scienc es  sector than amongst the sciences of chemistry and its companions. However, is it fair to apply this general conclusion across all areas of economics? There is more than one school of economics, and economics as a subject is made up of many individual niches, including:International economics;Environmental economics; andFinancial economics. What’s more, economics as a field can almost be divided into two areas. On one side you have the field of macroeconomics, which looks at economies as a whole. On the other hand, there’s microeconomics, which seeks to study human behaviour at the level of the individual and its impact on the wider economy.Interestingly, many of the theoretical arguments levied against economics being a science tend to focus on the realm of macroeconomics, rather than microeconomics. This is because macroeconomics is, by its very nature, much more difficult to gain a deep level of insight on. This is because there are difficulties observing, testing and comment ing on developments in the aggregate and their implications.Indeed, many macroeconomic theories, from Keynesianism to monetarism, offer contradicting theories on what an economy needs for stability or wealth creation, as an undergraduate student at a university will often hear in a lecture. On the other hand, microeconomics is much easier to test in a way that produces repeatable and observable economic trends and results.International markets can be considered a part of economic science. (Source: CC0 1.0, AhmadArdity, Pixabay)Understanding Economic ScienceAlthough there have been arguments going back and forth for years as to whether economics can truly be considered a science or not, the answer is, does it truly matter? The importance of studying economics  is in no way diminished by its classification as a science, social science, or indeed, no science at all.At its core, economics studies how individuals behave and interact with one another, and how our behavioural quirks can info rm how we decide to share our resources.Being able to understand the human condition  and how rational we truly are is a core part of economics, and it may well be that, due to the very unpredictable nature of humans, economics will never be able to call itself a natural science. That does not mean, however, that economic models, theories and studies, mathematical, statistical, or otherwise, are not useful.Although such studies are unlikely to produce results that can act as a crystal ball, or that can predict a financial crisis such as that in 2008, economics can let us know:how well our local or global economy is performing;whether economies do benefit from levying higher taxes, or by implementing increased regulation;whether an economy is set to face a period of inflation or deflation; andhow we could increase economic growth, or at least try to maintain it.In that sense, as an academic discipline economics remains crucial, and it is a widely-respected field of study. If you would like to study economics at school or university or would like to know more about the debate over whether or not economics is a science, you can always hire a Superprof tutor to provide economics tuition. With online and in-person tutorial services, Superprof offers a range of experienced and motivated tutors that can teach you about all aspects of economics. For example, a Superprof economics tutor near me could teach you about:microeconomics or macroeconomics;the laws of supply and demand;the business cycle and its involvement with macroeconomic theory; orparticular schools of economic thought, from behavioural economics to Milton Friedman's economic theories and monetarism. It can be easy to find a tutor on Superprof. All you need to do is enter your town or postcode, and you'll be matched with the best economic tutors around, whether that's for online-only lessons, or for in-person tuition.

Integration of technology to communicate better while teaching and learning is widely perceived as a great contribution in the education reforms. It has contributed as a major achievement promoting online learners. Online learning delivers knowledge to students in blended media using paper, e-books, USB sticks, DVD etc. The  online tutor  interact with student synchronously via video conferencing and a synchronously via email, efficient mentor. They help students to work aptly using an appropriate mix/blended technologies and media including social networks like Facebook and Twitter. The tutor use online and offline chat via several tools like Skype, etc. Mobile tutoring is another communication technology that has motivated online learners in huge. The student can exploit potential of mobile learning or M-learning. The tutoring on cell phones and smart phones are made possible via SMS text, bulk or group SMS, closed user group (CUGs) Phone links and Smart Phone Apps. It is a fantastic experience where students can contact their tutors anytime anywhere from their mobile handset. It is an awesome feature for those sincere students who do not want to waste even a single minute in their academics and wish to be always first in academic merits. Television and video recording have great influence on distance education especially used by online tutoring. These technologies with the use of computers and the internet have reinvented the way students learn remotely. Online tutors aided with computers and internet record each and every session (virtual classroom) taken with the students in the form of virtual libraries. The students can access recorded CDs and DVDs of each session for revision at the time of test preparation. The innovations in communication technology are not finished yet. The only thing that needs to be focused is the apt integration of technology in online learning to widen the scope and strengthen the capacity of providers to meet the needs of its clientele. Centroid of a Trapezoid

Centroid of a Trapezoid Centroid of a trapezoid is a very useful tool. It is to find the centre of the trapezoid. Geometrically it is between the two bases or in other words lies on the median of trapezoid. A trapezoid is a 4 sided polygon that has at least one pair of sides parallel. For a given trapezoid that has parallel side a and b where the b is the base and height is h and Centroid is above b at a distance of x the formula for Centroid is given by: X = [(2a + b) / (3 x (a + b))] x h Example 1:- Find the Centroid of a trapezoid which has sides a = 4 m and b = 2 m and height is h = 3 m. Solution 1:- For the given question Base length a=4 m; b=2 m Height h = 3 m Centre of the trapezoid X = [(2a + b)/(3 x (a + b))] x h X = [(2a + b)/(3 x (a + b))] x h X = [(2(4) + (2))/(3 x ((4) + (2)))] x 3 X = [10/18] x 3 X = 1.66 m The centroid of trapezoid is 1.66m Example 2:- Find the Centroid of trapezoid which has sides a = 3 m and b = 5 m and height is h = 2 m. Solution 2:- For the given question Base length a=3 m; b=5 m Height h = 2 m Centre of the trapezoid X = [(2a + b)/(3 x (a + b))] x h X = [(2(3) + (5)) /(3 x ((3) + (5)))] x 2 X = [11 /(24)] x 2 X = 0.916 m The centroid of trapezoid is 0.916m

Preparing for a Spanish Test

Preparing for a Spanish Test How to Revise for Spanish Exams ChaptersHow to Learn Spanish for your SAT Subject TestPrepare for Your Spanish Test with the Help of a Tutor10 Steps to Help you Learn Spanish and Pass your TestThe benefits of learning a foreign language  have been well documented over the years, but the question often remains as to which language a learner should pick up. Learning Spanish has huge advantages worldwide, notably because it is an official language in 20 sovereign countries meaning that there are an estimated 440 million speakers of Spanish around the globe.Studying Spanish at school or university will almost certainly mean you have to take set of Spanish exams. These could be your GCSEs in the UK, the SATs in the U.S.A, or one of the different provincial school exams in Canada. But how should you approach ensuring that you language skills are sharp before the day of a test? Here at Superprof, we have put together a short summary of some of the different ways that you can prepare yourself to take a Spanish test.vocabular y and structure, paragraph completion, and reading comprehension, with each one being worth  33% of the overall grade. The vocabulary and structure questions are targeted at students' ability to identify the correct use of a word or phrase based on the grammar and context of a given sentence. The paragraph completion section of the test also aims to test grammar and vocabulary usage, except this time in longer excerpts of text. Finally the reading comprehension questions use relevant articles to test student's ability to identify support ideas, arguments, and style, amongst other things. For more information, you can check out the SAT subject tests' student guide. Remember that the information contained in this guide is correct at the point of publication, but is subject to change year on year.Anticipated Spanish SkillsYou can expect the SAT Spanish subject test to examine you on a wide range of different skills. Obviously you should brush up on your vocabulary, verb conjugation, and other grammar structures, but you should also be aware that basic idioms will also feature on the test, and your knowledge of words from different aspects of the language will also be tested. One key skill for this particular Spanish test is being able to choose an appropriate word or phrase to complete a sentence or paragraph based on the grammar and context given. Make sure that you practise this skill beforehand so that you know you can deal with the questions relating to it comfortably on the day.Skyping with a native Spanish speaker is a great way to prepare for any Spanish testRecommended Preparation for the Spanish SAT TestIt is recommended that you have undergone a period of 3-4 years of Spanish study which has seen your competence in the language increase continuously. This means that if you have studied Spanish for three years, but have not advanced in the last 18 months, you are perhaps not ready to take the test.Naturally, to prepare for the test you should revise all asp ects of Spanish. This means that you should brush up on your Spanish grammar and vocabulary. There are many different ways to do this, but any way that you can immerse yourself in the Spanish language should lend itself useful when it comes to test day. Examples of this include watching movies with Spanish subtitles, listening to Spanish music, and reading Spanish language newspapers, websites and books. It is also recommended that you practise the format of the test to ensure that you know what to expect on test day. You can find a number of different resources online to help you do this, such as in the SAT subject tests' student guide.Prepare for Your Spanish Test with the Help of a TutorNo matter your level of Spanish, a private tutor can help you learn the language of Cervantes in the best way. You don’t learn a second language in a few weeks. Engaging with the modern language that is Spanish early on is the best way to pass your Spanish test.Go to Spanish class: On average, a student retains 20% of what they hear, 70% of what they say, and 90% of what they do. Going to class but being passive will not work. Ask questions, take notes, respond to the teacher’s questions. Be focused, and you will have less work to do at home later.Do your homework: Rereading your class notes the night after your class is a way of aiding memorisation. Make a review sheet by underlining the essential concepts from that day’s class. Then rewrite, make diagrams, simplify the lesson in the form of a worksheet. Then, reread and review those worksheets.Be curious: The two or three hours of Spanish that you have per week are not enough to put you at perfect ease with the Spanish language. Be curious: seek out new vocabulary, research Pachamama, Che’s revolution, or Franco’s dictatorship.Review effectively: Forget about distractions when you are reviewing your class notes. No smartphone, no music (or else something without words), no little brother or sister next to you. Make sure you have everything you need: notebooks, books, p encils, worksheets, a bottle of water, a snack…A study guide is useful so you won’t have to look over your neighbor’s shoulder!Study with your classmates: Although for the written portion you might prefer to review on your own, it’s helpful to practice with others for the speaking and listening portions. Do some role-playing to be as prepared as possible for the test. And it’s easier to be motivated when you’re with others! Just make sure to choose a serious partner.Use previous exams: Your professors will try to model their test questions on previous exams to help you. So go over your previous tests and homework assignments, and you’ll be better prepared for your test answers.Take breaks: To learn efficiently, breaks are necessary. You cannot concentrate indefinitely. Try to review intensively for 1 hour to 1 hour and 45 minutes and then take a 10 minute or 15 minute break. And keep to your schedule!Forget your stress: Remember to breathe if you start to feel anxious. A deep breathe and a long exhale. This is a good way to relax.Work on your handwriting: Write legibly in blue or black, skip lines, don’t cram your letters together. Try not to cross things out, or if you have to, use a ruler to do it neatly. Being conscientious with your handwriting is a good way to avoid losing points for a silly reason.Take care of yourself: As you are revising, hygiene is of the utmost importance. Get up early and go to bed early, drink water and eat well (pasta, bananas, almonds, kiwis, oranges, berries, etc.) and exercise to unwind and better concentrate. In sum:Make sure you’re familiar with what will be on the test. This is essential before showing up for the test and even before starting to revise.Preparing for a Spanish test starts at the beginning of the year, especially the listening part, which normally poses the most difficulty for students. Listen to the radio, watch the news in Spanish, familiarise yourself with the popular Spanish-language songs … make sure you’re listening to a little bit every day.A private tutor can help you by focusing your studying, honing your methodology, motivating you, and managing your stress.Follow our advice and any Spanish test will be a stroll in the park for you!And don't forget to sign up for Spanish lessons London or your town to get the most advance learning possible!

Should I Go To George Washington University

Should I Go To George Washington University The tutors behind Varsity Tutors are not just here to teachtheyre sharing their college experiences as well. Alyson is a Miami tutor and 2012 graduate of George Washington University. She holds a Bachelors degree in psychology and tutors several subjects, including psychology tutoring, reading tutoring, and science tutoring. Check out what Alyson had to say about her time at George Washington University: Describe the campus setting and transportation options. Alyson: George Washington University is a great school for a balance between college and city life. The campus is located right in the heart of Washington, D.C., just blocks from the White House, Georgetown, and endless points of entertainment. Because of its proximity to such high profile locations, it is extremely safe. During the presidential inauguration, there was a Secret Service member standing at every corner (and being late to class because the presidential motorcade drove by is a valid excuse). The campus has its own metro stop, and Washington, D.C. public transportation cant be beat. If the metro or bus wont get you there, theres a $5.00 taxi waiting to be hailed. I lived there for four years, and never once needed a car. How available are the professors, academic advisers, and teaching assistants at George Washington University? Alyson: I never had a problem meeting with my professors, TAs, or academic advisers. They were always available during office hours, and if that didnt work, then I could simply email them and find another time. How would you describe the dorm liferooms, dining options, location, socialization opportunities with other students? Alyson: The dorms at George Washington University are amazing. I lived in them all four years and loved it. George Washington University doesnt have a meal plan, so most of the dorms have kitchens and are pretty spacious. The freshman dorm Thurston Hall also has a cleaning service that will come and clean your room twice a week. Not bad! Which majors/programs are best represented and supported? Alyson: I would say that the best supported schools at George Washington University are the Elliott School of International Affairs, the School of Business, and the School of Media and Public Affairs. The liberal arts school is great as well, but since the majority of the student body goes that route, it means the advisers are not as helpful. Personally, I majored in psychology and never had a problem with support, though I would have liked better advisers, as it wasnt until my senior year that I realized I could have taken on another major or an extra semester abroad. How easy or difficult was it for you to meet people and make friends as a freshman? Does Greek life play a significant role in the campus social life? Alyson: Making friends is easy if you get involved. George Washington University has chances year-round for students to join clubs, internships, and volunteer opportunities. I was personally involved in Greek life, and its a great way to make friends and have experiences you wouldnt otherwise have, but I wouldnt say its necessary to a good social life at George Washington University. The George Washington University crowd is definitely work hard, play hard, but if thats your thing, nowhere else can beat it. How helpful is the Career Center and other student support services at George Washington University? Alyson: The career center is great for helping students find work-study placements. They will also help you with free resume editing and interview prep. How are the various study areas such as libraries, the student union, and dorm lounges? Alyson: These areas are all great places to study. They only really get crowded around midterm and finals season, but George Washington University has an online booking system that allows you to reserve study rooms for however long you need during those weeks, so you always know you have a place to go. Describe the surrounding town at George Washington University. Alyson: There are few places in the world that beat going to school in Washington, D.C. You can feel the energy of the city all around you. Not only is everyone smart and informed, but its also incredibly tourist friendly, which means there is always something to do. Concerts, nightlife, restaurants, farmers markets, you name it. And when you need a break from the city, just hop on the metro, and venture into Virginia or Maryland to get your fix of the country. How big or small is the student body? Were you generally pleased or displeased with the typical class sizes? Alyson: For me, George Washington University was the perfect size. It is a medium sized school, so the student body is small enough that you recognize most faces, but large enough that you are able to meet someone new all the time. And if you need to make it smaller, joining a club or getting involved on campus is a great way to find your core group. Students at George Washington University tend to be very social. Describe one memorable experience with a professor and/or class. Perhaps one you loved the most or one you regret the most. Alyson: One of the best classes I took was my Israeli Media class. The class was entirely in Hebrew, but we were able to have conversations and debates about politics in the Middle East, and to view Israeli media through many different lenses. It was a small class of maybe 10 people at best, so we really got to know each other and to dive deep into our opinions and feelings on the conflict in Israel. Check out Alysons tutoring profile. How To Write A Resume For Med School

How To Write A Resume For Med School Sometimes, whether youre accepted to med school comes down to the numbers (GPA / MCATscore), and you cant change those. However, there are many areas you can improve on or spin to create a more impressive resume. These tips below can help you build a strong, professional resume to help your acceptance chances. Stop: Take a step back before you begin your resume, med school application or anything else. Try to find a theme, belief or mantra that describes you or what you stand for and thread it throughout your entire application. Write a little blurb about yourself, stating why you are bound for a great medical career, but do not include it on your resume. Create it around your qualities and skills and write everything in your application from that blurb. Objective statement: This should speak to your core belief. Med schools want to see that youre a passionate, enthusiastic student heading for a profound medical career, and your objective statement should indicate that. But, passionate, enthusiastic student heading for a profound medical career is a terrible objective statement because an admissions counselor has read that before. Take some time with your objective statement, and boil it down to the one unique quality you have that will make you a catch at any med school similar to the blurb you write about yourself. If youre interested in research, your objective statement could speak to your desire to find a solution to every problem or your statement could be about how you will to help people through the gift of medicine. Work on your objective statement and write something completely unique, something that will make a med school counselor stop and think. Benefit-driven work experience: Med schools admissions are very competitive, and only about half (or less) of the students who apply are actually accepted. Nearly every admitted student will have a prestigious internship; so simply having one will not help you much. You need to indicate that what you did during your internship helped the practice and ultimately its patients. Med schools want to see tangible results of your efforts. Write as specific and detailed as you possibly can about your internship experience. Dont just write: worked closely with doctors, patients, nurses, etc. Instead, write: Administered medicinal injections for quicker/more effective patient support. Analyzed blood/urine samples for more sophisticated data entry. As an intern, you will most likely handle a lot of administrative work like filing patient records or data. But, med schools dont care if you are the worlds quickest filer. Write about your medicine-related duties. Use resume paper: If you are mailing in your resume, use resume paper. It will make you look more professional. Use a template: Youre on your way to becoming a doctor, not a graphic artist. Theres no shame in using an existing resume template. Aesthetically pleasing templates are readily available online and maybe even on your computer in programs like Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and even Microsoft Office. But, your resume should still look professional, and make sure you have lots of white space because that makes it easier to read. Academic accolades: Include where you went for undergraduate school and what honors or accolades you earned. Include what groups, clubs, organizations, extracurricular activities, etc. you were a part of and what results you created there. Contact info: Name, permanent address, email address, phone number, and website (if you have it) should all be in the header on your resume. Strong GPA: At this point, you cannot change your GPA or MCATscore (for those of you who have not taken the MCAT yet, you should strongly consider a private MCAT tutor).
